Video production

Video production company in Bangalore

Companies, agencies, brands and institutions come to The House of Edits, a video production house in Bengaluru, for corporate films, ad films, event films and explainers. Pre-production, filming, editing and motion graphics are handled by our in-house team. We have provided production support and editing on sports and brand content for RCB, WPL, IPL and Total Environment.

What we make

What our video team makes

  • Corporate films

Founder and leadership films, facility walkthroughs, CSR documentaries and explainers that tell investors, staff and partners what an organisation does.

  • Ad films and brand films

Commercials, campaign films and milestone pieces such as anniversary films, built around one clear idea, then cut to the lengths each platform and media plan needs.

  • Event films and coverage

Highlight films, aftermovies, artist promos and short glimpses from concerts, festivals, campus events and PR events. On concerts organised by our sister company Kalaluha, we have worked as creative media partner.

  • Motion graphics and 3D

Instructional callouts, interface animation, 2D sales animation and 3D renders for whatever a camera cannot show.

  • Vertical versions

Cut-downs for Reels and Shorts, framed for vertical at the shoot rather than cropped later, so one production also feeds your social channels.

  • Editing, sound and colour

Post-production for footage shot by you or another crew: story edit, sound design, colour grading, titles and subtitles.

All work

How it works

From brief to delivery

What you receive

  • Master film in the agreed resolution, plus a web-compressed copy
  • Platform cut-downs in 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1
  • Teaser cut for announcements
  • Caption file (SRT) and a captioned copy
  • Clean master without titles, for later versions
  • Dialogue, music and effects stems, when agreed
  • Thumbnails and still frames from the graded film
  1. Purpose and audience

Every brief starts with three questions: who is watching, where will they watch, and what should they do afterwards. The answers decide whether you need a ninety-second film, a set of reels or both.

  2. Format and treatment

Next we choose the form: live action, animation, a mix of the two, or an edit of footage you already own. A short treatment sets out the story, the look and the people on screen for your approval.

  3. Crew and schedule

The crew is sized to the job, from a small interview setup to a multi-camera team for a live event, and the call sheet goes out only once permissions are in hand.

  4. Filming

We record the story first, then the cutaways, room sound and details an editor needs to make it flow.

  5. Post-production

Editing starts with a rough assembly for story and moves to picture lock. Colour, sound mix and graphics are finished only after lock, so changes stay simple early and the finish stays clean.

  6. Handover

Everything arrives as one labelled delivery: the master, the agreed cut-downs, caption files and thumbnails, ready to upload.

Got my video on wildlife edited through House of Edits. Found them to be reliable and prompt. Their editing and colour grading is fabulous.

Budget

What decides the cost of a video production

  • Type of filmA founder interview, a product demo, an ad and a concert aftermovie each need different planning, crew and edit time, so the format shapes the quote first.
  • LocationsA studio set, a working office and an outdoor street each need different permissions and lighting, and every added site means packing down and setting up again.
  • How many people the shoot needsOne camera and clean sound can cover an interview. Multi-camera events, lighting for large spaces and specialist camera movement need more hands and more kit.
  • Footage you already ownArchive material can replace some filming, but it has to be found, cleared for use and matched in colour to anything shot new.
  • GraphicsSimple titles add little. Designed animation, from an interface walkthrough to a 3D product shot, is built frame by frame and quoted on its own.
  • Cut-downs and languagesA single master is one export. Every extra length, ratio, subtitle language or regional version is another edit to make and check.

Questions

Before you ask

Which kind of video does our business need?

Work back from the viewer. Investors, recruits and partners usually need a corporate film; buyers comparing products respond to an ad film or a short demo; a launch, concert or conference calls for event coverage. If you are unsure, tell us the goal and the audience and we will recommend a format, a length and the versions to plan for.

We already have footage. Can you work with it?

Yes. Editing, sound and colour for footage shot by you or another crew is a regular part of our work. The Kantara anniversary film was built by curating key moments from the film's journey, audience reactions and critical recognition. Send a sample first so we can check resolution, sound and how much grading it needs.

Why hire a production house instead of a freelance videographer?

A freelancer usually covers one part of the job, often filming or editing. A production house plans the film and brings scripting, crew, edit, sound, colour and graphics under one roof, so a single team answers for the result. For a one-camera job a freelancer can be the right call; once a film needs several of those skills, one team saves you the coordination.

How long does a video production take?

It depends on how much has to happen before the camera rolls. An edit of existing footage moves fastest, a single-location interview film needs planning and a shoot day, and films with several locations, animation or many versions take longer. Once the scope is agreed, we set out a schedule for script, shoot, first cut and delivery with you.
