Branding and identity
Brand identity and logo design in Bangalore
The House of Edits is a Bengaluru creative studio offering brand strategy, positioning, naming, logo and visual identity, brand books and everyday collateral, with brand work in hospitality, fashion, real estate and corporate sectors. For Aritha Cafe we designed the logo, typography and colour guides and a brand book, then carried them onto menu cards, cups and napkins.
What we make
What a brand project with us can include
Positioning and brand strategy
We work out who the brand is for, what it should be known for and how it differs from the names beside it on the shelf or the street. For Silicon Infra Realities that meant consulting on market segmentation, target demographics and positioning values.
Naming
Names for a new company, venture or product line, judged on how they sound said aloud, how they set as a wordmark and whether the domain and social handles are still free.
Logo and visual identity
A logo with its lockups and icon, plus the colour palette, typefaces and graphic elements that travel with it, tested everywhere from a shop sign to a browser tab.
Brand books and guidelines
The rulebook for logo use, clear space, colour values, type, photography and tone, so a printer, a freelancer or a new hire gets it right without asking. We have made brand books for Sri Saundaryam, Aritha Cafe and GRMH Group.
Touchpoints and collateral
Menu cards and menu boards, packaging, cups, napkins, stationery, and templates for social posts and store displays, so the identity holds up in daily use and not only in the presentation.
Corporate profiles and presentations
Company profiles and pitch templates for firms whose buyers read before they call, such as the corporate profile we made for GRMH Group.
Rebrands and refreshes
When a brand already has recognition worth keeping, we tighten it rather than replace it: cleaner logo files, a firmer palette and rules that people actually follow.
Identities for shows and festivals
A name treatment, mark and poster system for a live property that has to stay recognisable season after season. We worked on the visual identity of Kannada Comedy Festival, the IP we co-own with DS Productions, across three seasons.

Listen
We start with the business: goals, customers, competitors and what people already say about you. We also gather what rivals put on their signs, menus and brochures, so we know what to steer away from.
Position
We write the positioning in a few plain sentences and agree it with you before anything is drawn. Every design decision after this is checked against it.
Explore
We present distinct identity routes, each shown on real applications such as a shopfront, a social post and a business card rather than floating on a blank page.
Refine
The chosen route is drawn properly: logo variants, colour values for print and screen, a type pairing, and tests at favicon size and on dark and light grounds.
Codify
Everything goes into the brand book with clear examples of right and wrong use, so the identity stays consistent long after handover.
Roll out
We apply the identity to the touchpoints you need first, from menus and packaging to decks and social templates, and hand over organised master files.
Vaibhav and his team stand out from typical local market editors. They have the expertise to handle everything from logo creation to complete company branding, and their ability to execute ideas from concept to completion is truly impressive. What sets them apart is their patience and dedication to understanding client needs. Above all, they prioritise client satisfaction over financial gain. Highly recommended for anyone seeking professional and impactful branding solutions.
Budget
What decides the cost of a branding project
- Scope of the workA logo on its own, a full identity with a brand book, and strategy, identity and rollout together are very different pieces of work. Most of the cost follows this choice.
- New brand or refreshBuilding from nothing means research, naming and more routes to explore. A refresh keeps what customers already recognise and changes less.
- Number of touchpointsEach menu, package, signboard, template and deck is designed and checked on its own, so the rollout list matters as much as the logo.
- Sub-brands and languagesA group with several ventures, or a wordmark that has to work in both Kannada and English, needs a wider system and more testing.
- Launch photography and filmShoots and reels that carry the identity into the world, like the silk collection photography and Instagram reels we made for Sri Saundaryam, are production work and are scoped as their own line beside the design.
Questions
Before you ask
What is the difference between a logo and a brand identity?
A logo is one mark. An identity is the whole system around it: colours, typefaces, imagery, layouts and tone, plus the brand book that keeps them consistent. Customers often recognise a brand from that system before they read the name.
Can you refresh our current brand instead of starting again?
Yes. If your existing logo or colours already carry recognition, we keep what works and fix what does not. Our work for Uniq Builders was this kind of job: refreshing and defining its visual guidelines, not replacing the brand.
How long does a branding project take?
Scope sets the calendar. A focused identity moves faster than a programme that adds naming, a full brand book and a long rollout list. We agree a schedule after the first discovery conversation, once we know exactly what has to be designed.
Can the same team handle our website, photography and launch content?
Yes. The House of Edits also produces films, photography and websites, so the identity goes straight into them without a handover to another vendor. For Sri Saundaryam we shot the collections and made campaign reels, and the VicWide wordmark was designed alongside the website we built.
Do you take on branding work outside Bengaluru?
Yes. Our studio is in Bengaluru, and our clients include Uniq Builders in Mysuru and VicWide Inspection Services in Werribee, Australia. Wherever you are, you can start by sending a short brief on WhatsApp or by email.

- BrandingA branding guide for growing businesses, from strategy to rolloutBuild a brand in order. Agree who you serve and what you promise, design an identity that expresses that promise, write the rules into a brand book, then roll it out touchpoint by touchpoint. Budget for the scope and the rollout, not the logo alone, and give one person the job of keeping it consistent as you grow.
- BrandingWhat a brand identity has to do in the digital ageA brand identity is now often met first on a phone: as a profile picture, in a reel, on a website. So it has to read at tiny sizes, behave well in motion, fit every social format and keep the same colour and type across screens and print, all held together by one set of written rules.
- BrandingHow to build a strong brand narrativeA strong brand narrative is a short, true account of where the business came from, who it serves, what it promises and what proves it, told in a consistent voice. Write those five parts on one page, agree them with leadership, then let every film, brand book and post draw from that page.
